Located in Takena Hall as part of the Financial Aid & Veterans Office, under the guidance of the Veteran Benefits Specialist, this office assists Veterans, In-Service Military Students, and Military Connected Students with navigating education benefits through the VA, Department of Defense, and State of Oregon.

Located in Red Cedar Hall, Accessibility Resources coordinates disability accommodations for disabled student veterans. Accommodations can include preferred seating, specialized equipment, notetakers, extra time on tests, and more. Each accommodation is tailored to the individual's needs. Carol Raymundo, Accessibility Resources' manager, is trained in understanding unique situations facing veterans including PTSD, TBI, and other impacts. Contact: accessibility@linnbenton.edu.

Visit LBCC’s First Resort to meet with an advisor or navigator who specializes in the area that you are interested in pursuing. Our advisors and navigators are experts in the many degrees and certificates offered at LBCC. 

The VRC is a dedicated space exclusively for Veterans, In-Service Military Students, and Military Connected Students located on the Albany campus. The VRC is a friendly space for studying, meeting other Veterans, and receiving information specifically for Veterans. You will find a comfortable space with couches, coffee, computers (free printing!), a refrigerator, and lockers. The electronic passcode to enter the space can be obtained from our Veteran Certifying Officer: vetsoffice@linnbenton.edu.

The Veterans Club focuses on providing community and support to help our veterans adjust to college life. The club is a chapter of the Student Veterans of America and we try to send active members to the National Convention (NatCon) annually.

Vietnam Veterans of America, Mid-Valley Chapter 585 created a scholarship fund through the LBCC Foundation that is focused on helping student veterans and family members of veterans. Established in 2000, the Linn County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Scholarship Endowment has provided more than $17,000 in scholarships to LBCC student vets and their family members. Applications are due in the spring. 

LBCC has some positions available for students using VA Education Benefits to work on campus in the Veterans Office and VRC. 

You may be eligible to take part in the work study program if you meet all of these requirements: 

• You’re enrolled at least ¾-time at LBCC and/or OSU 
• You can finish the work-study contract while you still qualify for education benefits
• You’re using an approved VA education benefits program to pay for your education or training

VA Work Study pays Oregon minimum wage: $14.20 per hour (as of July 1, 2023) for up to 25 hours per week.
