Steps to Apply 

  1. Complete the online application for admissions
  2. Email the following information to international@linnbenton.edu
    • Your passport (photograph or digital scan of the page with your name and photo)
    • Proof of English Language Proficiency using one of the following:
      • TOEFL 500 PBT or 61 IBT
      • IELTS 5.5
      • Duolingo score 95 or higher (no sub-score lower than 75)
      • PTE (Pearson Academic) score 45 or higher
      • INTO OSU Level 5 or 6 completion for INTO OSU students only (proof of completion required for admissions)
      • IGCSE/GCSE English with C or above
      • GTEC 1076-1095
      • SAT 480
      • Language Cert International ESOL exam: B2 Communicator level or above
      • US Standard High School Diploma/GED
      • US College Transcript from the most recent college or university attended. Must have a minimum of 12 quarter or 8 semester credits which includes a college level (100+) writing class. All grades must be "C" or above. English language courses are not included.
      • Native-speaker of English from the following countries
    • Bank statement with minimum balance of $27,881 (less than six months old) or Financial Guarantee. See details about costs.
    • Affidavit of Financial Support if bank statement is not in applicant’s name
    • An official high school transcript if under 18 years of age on first day of class
    • If you are transferring from another U.S. institution, please also provide:
      • Proof of visa (copy of photo page and most recent arrival stamp)
      • Current I-20 (copy of page 1 and 2)

 


Placement Testing

LBCC's Writing and ALEK Math placement tests must also be taken before you can register for classes and can be taken virtually if you are not in the local area. These tests are not required if students have taken previous college courses in Writing and Math. You will be sent more information about placement tests once your application is complete.

 


College Transcripts

Your unofficial college transcript from all US colleges or universities you have attended is required before registration for classes. Your official transcripts are required upon arrival.

NOTE: LBCC’s Writing and Math placement tests must be taken before registering. These tests are not required if students have completed previous US college courses in Writing and Math. An unofficial transcript is required to waive any placement testing.
