Advising & Academic Progress
Your success at LBCC is very important to us! That's why we believe that it is important that you take control of your own education! As you begin to understand the ins and outs of college in the U.S., here are a few things to reference as you move forward.
Academic Advisors are great resources for students! You can meet with an academic
advisor to discuss the classes you need to take along with your goals for your career.
When you meet with an academic advisor, go with a question or two in mind that you
can ask during your appointment. This will allow you to learn more about their experience
and/or how they can help you!
Transferring Credits to LBCC from another College
To get credit for courses taken at other institutions and to process overrides for prerequisites, it is important that you submit official transcripts to LBCC. You may send transcripts to the Admissions Office at the following address:
Linn-Benton Community College Admissions
6500 Pacific Blvd. SW
Albany, OR 97321
If you have e-Transcripts, please send those to transcripts@linnbenton.edu.
Academic Progress
As an international student, you are required to be making satisfactory academic progress towards a degree or certificate. The Academic Standing Policy requires that you maintain a 2.0 or greater cumulative GPA and that you have a 2.0 term GPA as well. If you do not comply with this policy, you will be placed on probation and will be required to meet with your academic advisor and discuss your academic success with the International Student Advisors.
