"Medical assistants are on the front line and often the first person the patient sees.
It's important that they make the patient feel safe and cared for. Being in the medical
assistant program is like being part of a big family. It's amazing. All of the faculty
are great. They were so supportive and everyone worked together. When I came into
the program, I was in my own shell. The instructors pulled me out of my shell and
encouraged me. I'm so excited! I know I will make a great medical assistant."
Ana received the LBCC Foundation Medical Assistant Program Directors Scholarship and
the Community Services Consortium Vocational Scholarship.
