LBCC Gives Hope Day of Giving raises more than $38,000 for the Give Hope Fund in a single day

The Linn-Benton Community College Foundation announced more than $38,000 in contributions received in a single 24-hour period on May 8 during the Foundation’s fifth annual “Give Day”. The event, entitled “LBCC Gives Hope” raised money for the Give Hope Fund to help LBCC students with expenses on top of their tuition.

"Today, we celebrate not just the generosity of our donors, but the spirit of our community that continues to uphold the promise of education for all at Linn-Benton Community College,” said LBCC Foundation President Penny York. “As someone who has served this institution in various capacities, I am deeply moved by the unwavering commitment we have witnessed today. Every contribution to the Give Hope Fund represents a profound belief in the potential of our students to transform their lives and by extension, our community."

More than 150 community members, both inside and outside the college, chose to make donations. In addition, there was 100% participation from the Foundation Board and the LBCC Executive Team.
