LBCC Celebrates CTE Month

February is National Career Technical Education (CTE) Month. At Linn-Benton Community College, we are celebrating along with all community colleges in the state of Oregon. Each week, we will highlight some of our incredible CTE programs to help you learn how these pathways are helping Oregon recover from the pandemic, and getting people into excellent jobs.

What is CTE?

Career Technical Education, or CTE, is higher education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers in healthcare, information technology, industrial and manufacturing, agriculture and more. By emphasizing real-world, practical skills training, LBCC offers CTE programs that link up directly with employers in our region, and also emphasize problem-solving, creativity, persistence, teamwork, and critical thinking – essential building blocks across all career areas.
